Bandits shoot victim while attempting to escape in Kaduna

A kidnap victim, simply identified as Ifeanyi, was shot on the leg while attempting to escape from his abductors’ den in Kagarko Forest in Kagarko LGA of Kaduna State.

City & Crime learnt that the victim, who owns a supermarket, was kidnapped on Wednesday night at his residence in Kagarko town.

Confirming the shooting incident through telephone to our reporter on Sunday, a resident of Kagarko, Shuaibu Bala, said the victim was shot on the leg while trying to escape from his abductors on Friday.

He said the victim still summoned courage and escaped despite the bullet injury and that some famers working at their farms alerted vigilantes who came and rescued him to the hospital.

There was no response from the spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command on the incident.
