NSCDC secures conviction of 4 vandals in Jigawa

The Jigawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Thursday secured the conviction of four vandals, Rabi’u Alto, Haruna Mustapha, Yahaya Rabi’u and Ibrahim Isah, by Justice Hassan Dikko of the Dutse Division of the Federal High Court.

Earlier, the defendants were charged with criminal conspiracy and tampering with electric plants.

The defendants were jailed after pleading guilty to the two-count charge, and in view of their plea, the lead prosecutor, Abdulkadir Lurwanu Fanini, prayed the court to convict and sentence them accordingly.

Justice Dikko convicted and sentenced them to one and half years or to pay a fine of N50,000 for the first count and two years or to pay a fine of N60,000 for the second count.
