The police in Benue State have arrested 21 suspected arsonists in connection with the destruction of property in Oju LGA.
Our correspondent reports that two clans—Oju and Ibilla—on Sunday, clashed, during which one person was allegedly killed and property destroyed.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, SP Catherine Sewuese Anene, on Tuesday, confirmed the arrest of the 21 suspects.

Anene, while parading the suspects at the command’s headquarters in Makurdi, said that they were arrested on Sunday morning at the scene of the crime while destroying and setting ablaze property following disagreement which ensued between the warring factions.
