Bandits on Saturday reportedly stopped over at Tashan-Alhaji, a few kilometres from Tegina town in Rafi LGA of Niger State, slaughtered chickens belonging to the villagers and cooked food using the villagers’ kitchen utensils before moving on.
A resident, Shettima Mohammed, told City & Crime that the bandits were sighted on Sunday on over 200 motorcycles moving towards Mariga LGA through Inkwai village.
He explained that, “Yes, Tashan-Alhaji, within Katako Tegina enclave, served as their camp. They spent time there, after stealing foodstuff, killed chickens and prepared food, fed themselves and took off in the early hours of Sunday.”
He added that, “They operated with ease, stole with comfort, kidnapped at will and proceeded without any hindrance.”
