Man remanded for buying stolen goats in Kano

A magistrates’ court sitting in Kano has remanded one Buhari Sani of Gafan village in Garin Malam LGA for allegedly buying goats worth N.5 million suspected to be stolen from a Fulani settlement.

Sani was arraigned before the court by the police command on a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and buying of stolen items.

The prosecutor, Asmau Ado, noted that the offences were contrary to Sections 97 and 247 of the Penal Code.

The Magistrate, Mustapha Saad Datti, who refused the not guilty plea of the defendant, ordered his remand and adjourned the case to July 17.
