The Senator representing Cross River South, Gershom Bassey, has told the people of the state not to expect magic from the newly sworn in governor of the state, Prince Bassey Otu.
The lawmaker in an interview with newsmen yesterday said a situation where the masses expect a new administration to perform magic is unhealthy.

He, however, expressed optimism that the new administration would deliver good governance given their “determination” to reposition the state.
The lawmaker explained that there were challenges bedevilling the states which required some time to go.
“Let us allow the new governor time to bring us from where we were to where we want to get to. Let us give our dear governor the opportunity to make us proud,” he said.
