There is security beef up in Daura, the home town of the outgoing president, Muhammadu Buhari, ahead of his return after swearing-in of the President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday.
Daily Trust also reports that posters of the president are in strategic places across the state.
Buhari is expected back in Daura after handing over to the new president in Abuja.
He will be flown to Katsina from Abuja and later to Daura on the same day.

When Daily Trust reporter went round the the city, people were seen preparing for their son’s home coming.
At the Emir’s palace, posters were manned on the entrance with messages saying the president has successfully completed his tenure and served the country well.
On the road that leads to Buhari’s residence were security checkpoints.
The town is also receiving guests as there was no room available in the only hotel in Daura, Daura Motel.
“Our rooms had been booked since Friday. We don’t have available rooms. You can only get rooms in a hotel at Kwangwalam, which is 18 kilometers away from here,” a receptionist told our reporter.
It was also gathered that there is no room available in the hotel in Kwangwalam.
Buhari, who served as president from 2015 to date has said severally that he will return to Daura after his tenure.
The Emir of Daura, Umar Farouk, will host Buhari at a special durbar on Tuesday to mark the end of his tenure and also welcome him back to his place of birth.
