All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial zone, in the 2023 polls, Chief Kodilichukwu Okelekwe, said the assumption of office by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will rekindle the hopes and potentials of the country.
Okelekwe stated this in a statement while congratulating President Tinubu, on his swearing-in, adding that his victory is a show of goodwill and support from Nigerians, who shares his vision for a greater country.
The aspirant noted that Nigerians are clamouring for a government that will prioritize their welfare irrespective of religion and ethnicity and they are now looking up to President Tinubu to offer the country a transformative leadership.
He said: “Your victory signals a show of uncommon goodwill from millions of our citizens who share and support your vision for the future greatness of our dear country. Your swearing in lights up hope in the hearts of millions of our countrymen who yearn for a brighter tomorrow and the realization of the full potentials of this nation.
“Your journey to this point has been long and arduous, but you have shown consistency, steadfastness, resilience as well as unflinching commitment to bringing change and greatness to our country. This day represents a reward for your hard work, leadership, dedication, wonderful vision and planning, and above all, the decision of our countrymen to entrust you with the onerous responsibilities of reshaping the destiny of our country.
“Your vast experience in public service, entrepreneurship and governance no doubt will place you in a very unique position to deploy your knowledge and expertise to generate and sustain an era of growth and prosperity for our nation. As you ascend into this unique position, we urge you to stay true to your avowed principles and commitment to servant leadership of dedication to the commonwealth of all the peoples of this country for that is the earnest hope and desire of our countrymen.”
Okelekwe also noted that “failure of governance has led to our country gradually dividing along fault lines of Religion, Region, Tribe and Class, but it is now your responsibility to reverse this insidious development. It will be your avowed duty to bring us back to unity and abiding commitment to making this country a nation that belongs to All and that takes care of All her citizens.
“Our countrymen are clamoring for a government that will prioritize the welfare of all citizens irrespective of their ethnicity or religion, and the growth of a nation that will immediately and automatically command their allegiance and patriotism. They are yearning for a country that will guarantee unity and peace, prosperity and which will become a haven for investors, foreign and domestic.”
