NILDS launches radio to correct misconception about legislature

The National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies has launched a radio station to correct public misconceptions about the legislative arm of government.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja Tuesday ahead of the commissioning billed for today, NILDS Director-General, Abubakar Sulaiman, said the Democracy Radio was set up to educate Nigerians on legislative procedures and practices both at state and federal levels.

“Democracy Radio, as envisioned, is to serve as a nexus between parliament and the people and inform them about the legislative proceedings and democracy.

“When fully operational after commissioning it’ll have more information than any other radio station in Nigeria going by the resources and facilities that’ll be at the disposal of management and staff,” he said.
