Teacher arraigned for raping female student

A 35-year-old teacher with a private school in Lagos, Olayiwola Ololade, has been dragged before a magistrates’ court, Yaba, for allegedly raping a 15-year-old student inside the school’s premises in the Mushin area.

 The prosecutor, Thomas Nurudeen, told the court that the defendant was always in the habit of asking the student to see him in his office after school hours and then sexually abuse her, threatening her that he would ensure she was expelled from the school if she revealed it to anyone.

The Magistrate, Mr P E Nwaka, ordered the defendant’s remand in a correctional centre pending advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
