A man, popularly known as Baba Ibeji, a resident of Alapa community in Asa LGA of Kwara State has declared missing.
Sources told our correspondent that the father of six on Thursday woke up from sleep and walked out of the house while his wife was still in bed.
A relative told our correspondent that Baba Ibeji, also known as Abdulwahab, sometime ago he (Abdulwahab) said he saw three women in his sleep who instructed him to cut off his penis with a razor blade.
The relative explained that, “He had started to execute the so-called instruction before some residents who saw him raised alarm and he was rushed to the hospital and treated. It’s not clear if he heard another voice this time around.”
Speaking on the issue, the victim’s wife, Aishat, told our correspondent that she was yet to comprehend the situation.
She said, “On Wednesday night my child was sick and I was up till about past 4am on Thursday tending to the child while my husband was fast asleep. I also fell asleep.
“When I woke up and didn’t see him, I thought he refused to tell me when he was leaving the house because he had no money to give us that day for feeding.
“But now, we have searched everywhere for him to no avail. What is more worrisome is that he left his phone at home. We don’t know how to contact him now.”
