Former Benue-Plateau commissioner dies at 82

A former commissioner of Finance of the defunct Benue- Plateau State, Chief Akochi Jonathan Adeka is dead. He died at the age of 82 in Jos, Plateau state after a brief illness.

Late Adeka attended the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, he then proceeded to Indiana University Bloomington in the United States of America, where he obtained a masters degree.

On his return in 1971, he was appointed the commissioner for finance of the then Benue – Plateau state and chairman of Tenders Board.

He also served in Otukpo, Benue state, after his retirement from office as the Odu of Otukpo. The late Chief Adeka is survived by two wives and sixteen children.
