The Yobe State government yesterday said it plans to hold elections into the state’s local government councils on November 25, 2023.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Baba Mallam Wali, disclosed this in a letter of notice to the Yobe State Independent Electoral Commission.

He said, “I am pleased to convey the approval of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON for the conduct of local government elections on 25th November, 2023.”
Governor Buni had dissolved the state’s local government council chairmen following the expiration of their tenure.
