Lift Above Poverty Organisation (LAPO), has rewarded 452 employees who have served the company meritoriously between 10 and 30 years for loyalty and commitment.
Speaking at the event in Benin, LAPO founder/CEO, Godwin Ehigiamusoe, , said the 452 staff who have completed 10,15,25 and 30 years of meritorious service are being rewarded with cash and other gift items.
He stated that the growth of the company would have been impracticable without a body of diligent and committed staff.
“With the commitment of the staff, the company has grown into a number of institutions that has become major players in different sector of the economy, all operating in various ways to address macroeconomic challenges.”
He disclosed that LAPO through its Microfinance Bank and Micro-investment Support Service, has disbursed a total of N221.7 billion as loan to clients in 2022.
“Today, institutions within the LAPO ecosystem provide lift transforming opportunities and services to million of people in Nigeria and Sierra Leone. In 2022, alone , financial institutions in LAPO Group has disbursed a total of N221.7 billion as loans.
The President, LAPO Staff Multipurpose Cooperative Society, Lilian Ehigiamusoe said the event was to celebrate hardworking and outstanding colleagues who have dedicated themselves over the years to the growth of the institution.
She commended Hope Ogbe, who has served the company for 30 years, Faith Osazuwa-Ojo, Agnes Olenlua, Joy Osakha-Igbinosa and Eunice Asemota who have all spent 25 years in the company.
