Over 500 women in Dutse/Bwari areas of the Federal Capital Territory have received an N10,000 grant to improve their businesses.
The grant was provided by the Strategic Outreach Support (SOS) under the Market Women Support Fund, is in partnership with Zenith Bank, for female food vendors, retail provision sellers, and farm produce traders.
Speaking during the kick-off of the project in Abuja, the spokesperson of SOS, Razaq Ivori, stated that the fund was to help market women complement the ease of doing business.
He reiterated that the project will circulate to the five area councils of Abuja before spreading to other parts of the country.

He said the capital funding exercise would cover every local government area of the federation.
“Over 500 unbanked women had new accounts opened and credited with the sum of N10,000,” he said.
He added that it was working with partners to provide adult literacy and entrepreneurial training programs as well as savings and loan associations in the markets.
