Three members of a gang specialised in stealing and tampering with prepaid meters of the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) in various parts of Ondo State have been nabbed.

City & Crime gathered that the suspects, Oladele Kole (42), Alimi Oluwasola (39) and Samuel Olumide (52), were arrested by the operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Oda Road in Akure.

The NSCDC spokesman in Ondo, Mr Daniel Aidamenbor, said the suspects were nabbed following a sustained intelligence and the flagging of some reported stolen prepaid meters BEDC.

He noted that two members of the syndicate were presently at large but that effort was on to apprehend them.
