The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), FCT chapter, has constructed a solar borehole in Maraba Takunshara community in Waru.
Speaking during the launch of the project yesterday, the chairman of the chapter, Engr. Ben Osy Okoh, said the project was aimed at easing challenges communities in the FCT are facing.
“Water projects have been provided in the community but the four of them are no longer working. We have assured the community this one will be different as we will constitute a committee to visit here from time to time to look after it.”
While urging the community to protect the project from theft and vandalism, the chairman said it cost over N6m sourced from its members with technical support.
