But they were able to navigate through this and made effort to reunite and forgive each other as Islam enjoins.

The family drama, which also features children, promotes everything Islamic; from regular five-daily prayers and intermittent supplications to the Almighty Allah and the belief in Islamic monotheism.

Featuring a mixed array of actors and actresses from the North and South; Muslims and Christians, the producer believes this exemplifies the principle of Islam which promotes brotherhood and enduring relationships with people irrespective of race, religion or tribal inclinations.

The Executive Producer, Shareefah Abiola Andu, said she felt fulfilled that her vision of telling Islamic stories through movie production has become a reality.

She said, “I think it is a passion to tell the Muslim stories. It is not just to tell the Muslim stories but to tell it the right way because a lot of times I see people having a semblance of a Muslim movie or Muslim inclination in movies, like having a session where somebody is praying and the person is wearing hijab in a funny way. I didn’t want to do that. I believe it should be well depicted.”

A former Commissioner for Justice in Lagos State, Dr Muiz Banire, SAN, said the movie has been able to propagate the ideals of Islam in an innovative manner.

Maryam Booth said the movie is very unique being the first wholly Islamic movie production, which also promotes the principles of friendship, humanity and brotherliness, which the religion of Islam teaches.
