Farmers, stakeholders to discuss maize value chain in Nigeria

Major stakeholders, including farmers will discuss the maize value chain at the 5th Nigeria Maize Conference in Abuja.

The president of Maize Association of Nigeria, Dr Bello Abubakar, the director of the National Agricultural Seeds Council, Dr Phillip Olusegun Ojo, and the national president, the Poultry Association of Nigeria, Mr Akpa Onallo, are billed to speak at the conference.

Other speakers and panelists include head of Agribusiness, Unity Bank, Mrs Patricia Ahunanya; Executive Director of Babangona, Kola Masha, and General Manager of Farming Operations Pandagric Novum, Johannes Pieter.

According to the organisers, the conference would provide a platform for interaction and networking among growers, aggregators, processors, industry professionals, and policymakers.
