Gambo re-elected as Kwali NULGE chair

Comrade Gambo Dogo has been re-elected for a second term as the Kwali Area Council branch chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) at its 8th quadrennial delegate conference.

The chairman of the electoral committee, who was also the returning officer of the election,  Mr David Iyah, while announcing the result, said Gambo scored 188 votes to defeat his opponent, Comrade Baba Sani Kwali, who scored 83 votes.

Other executives returned unopposed included Patience Jigo, vice chairman; Aso Abdullahi, treasurer; Comrade Shafas Mohammed, secretary; Tanko Bulus, assistant secretary; Halima T. Abdullahi, auditor; Mathew Yakubu Yebu, trustee; Seriat O. Sadiq; and Abdulkareem Mohammed, youth representative.

In his acceptance speech, the chairman, Comrade Gambo Dogo, appreciated the delegates for the confidence they have in him and promised to carry them along in the discharge of his duties.
