Insecurity: Ravaged communities want schools rebuilt

Residents of communities ravaged by banditry in Shiroro LGA of Niger State have called on the incoming administration in the state to help rebuild destroyed schools to enable their children go back to their academic activities.

 The President of Lakpma Youth Assembly, Jibril Tafeeda Allawa, told City & Crime that the present condition of Central Primary School, Allawa, one of the affected communities, was pathetic and unconducive for teaching and learning.

He said, “The situation has affected the entire 10 political units of over 30 settlements in Allawa Ward alone. The government has abandoned the education of the communities and as a result a lot of children are out of school and exposed to the dangers associated with lack of education.

 “It’s our hope that the incoming government will help give life to our younger ones so that they can also have a future. Note that this infrastructural decay is across all the eight political wards of Lakpma axis in Shiroro LGA.”
