The Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, has charged wealthy individuals to cultivate the habit of assisting the less privileged, especially orphans, during the holy month of Ramadan.
The emir, who gave the admonition in his palace, noted that a lot of rewards awaited those that had been spending their wealth for the sake of God both here and in the hereafter.

The royal father enjoined the business community not to use the period for self-enrichment through doubling the prices of their commodities, as according to him, doing so is ungodly.
