The Consulate General of Nigeria in Shanghai, China, says many Nigerian nationals are achieving extraordinary feats in a wide range of fields in the Asian country away from the narrative of harassment and discrimination by host communities.
The Consul-General, Chimezie Okeoma Ogu, stated this at a town-hall meeting with Nigerians living in Shanghai, China’s commercial nerve centre.
The meeting was themed ‘Exploring Opportunities for Nigerians in East China: Consular Support.’
Ogu said the meeting was to spotlight Nigerians making exploits in China and highlight opportunities and challenges Nigerian students and businessmen face in the country.
