The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said that the campaigns for presidential and National Assembly elections end at midnight today.
The INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, said this yesterday in Abuja at the second signing of the National Peace Accord by political parties and presidential candidates ahead of Saturday’s polls.
He said, “The signing of the peace accord today (yesterday) comes at a critical moment in the electoral calendar. Campaigns for presidential and National Assembly elections end at midnight tomorrow (today), Thursday, February 23, 2023.
“Elections will hold on Saturday this week. INEC is ready. By Friday, we will activate the Registration Area Centres (RACs) so that at first light on Saturday polling units will open on time.”
