The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has urged youths and students in the state not to mortgage their future by selling their votes in the general elections.
Obaseki spoke at a youth and students’ town hall meeting with the theme: “The Role of the Youth and Students in the 2023 Elections”, held at the Imaguero College in Benin City..
The governor, represented by the National Deputy Youth Leader of the PDP, Timothy Osadolor, said: “As youths, we know you’re angry with the situation that the APC has put us today. We are not for sale, neither are our votes for sale.”
Also, the Vice Chancellor (VC) of the Osun State University, Osogbo, Prof Clement Adebooye, has advised his students against selling their votes and involvement in thuggery during the elections.
Adebooye gave the advice yesterday at the 16th matriculation ceremony of the university, where 6,750 applicants were enrolled as undergraduates.
