The Benue South elders also known as Benue Progressives Forum (G9) have expressed determination to mobilise eligible voters in Benue South for the Tinubu/Shettima presidential ticket.
The chairman of the G9, Johnson Agada, who announced this during the inauguration of the executive committee of the group in Abuja, said the mass mobilisation will be in the nine local government areas of the zone, also known as Zone C.
The chairman stated that the political interest of the Idoma people is paramount to its pursuit and advised Benue South people to cultivate the spirit of mass participation during every election to redeem the zone redeem from the political dominance of the other two zones in Benue State.
He said that the group has discovered that political apathy in Benue South in the past is a direct consequence of a lack of effective mobilization of voters.
He announced a mass rally in the zone before the presidential election in support of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.
