Brymo has been setting various dissensions on the net for a while now. The singer had recently called out Peter Okoye of the Psquare duo for disrespecting Fela Anikulapo Kuti, following his rift with Seun Kuti.

Peter Okoye and Seun Kuti has conflicted on social media yesterday after Seun Kuti depicted The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as an acrobat.

His comment stirred a lot of controversies between himself, Peter Okoye, and Peter Obi’s supporters.

In response to Seun’s actions, Peter Okoye, criticized him in a string of posts, contending that he would be a nobody if he removes his father’s name “Kuti” from his name.

Along the line, Brymo criticized Peter Okoye for looking down on Seun’s father during his banter with Seun Kuti. According to Brymo, Peter Okoye insulted his (Seun’s) father just to prove a point that he was made in life.

Brymo tweeted, “Bros .. you never delete ?..you go keep this post wey trifle your pops, just cause it reads like you are self-made and he inherited fame ?..that’s your point right ?.. this belittles yours.. this is quite self-serving, I doubt you own your successes, you belong to your sponsors?” (sic)

Brymo is a popular Nigerian singer who started recording music in 1999 while in secondary school. The singer signed a record deal with Chocolate City in 2010 but was accused of breaching his contract in 2013.

The singer is also known as an actor as he has featured in a few movies, including one of the most controverted movies of 2022 “Elesin Oba” (The King’s horsemen), a movie which is an adaptation of Wole Soyinka’s Death and The King’s Horseman.
