An area court sitting in Jos, Plateau State, on Friday, sentenced an 18-year-old student, Suleiman Adam, to three months in prison for attacking and causing harm to a man.
A panel of two magistrates, Adam Sadiq and Hyacinth Dolnaan, however, gave the convict an option of N10,000 fine after he pleaded guilty to the offence.
The panel also ordered the convict to pay N8,000 as cost for hospital treatment to the victim.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp Ahmed Labaran, told the court that the case was reported on January 26, at the “C” Division by one Dahiru Abdullahi, that the accused, with eight others (now at large), attacked him, beat him and broke his left hand. (NAN)
