Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has said arrangements have been concluded to recruit another 1,000 teachers across the 13 LGAs of the state.
The governor made the announcement in Loko Development Area during the commencement of the second phase of his campaign across the 18 development areas of the state.
It would be recalled that the state government recently employed over 3,000 teachers.
The governor pleaded with local government chairmen and development area overseers to jack up the payment of outstanding promotion allowances of workers to 50 per cent, promising to pay in full before May 29.

The governor noted that through prudent management of resources, the state had been saving money to pay salaries on the 25th of every month without recourse to the monthly federal subvention.
Daily Trust further reports that as part of the schedule lined up for the campaign activities, Sule paid homage to the Mai Loko, Alhaji Umar Sabo; and the Osu Ojiri, Alhaji Halilu Bala Usman, before interacting with stakeholders in both Loko and Udege.
The two monarchs appreciated the governor for restoring peace and security in the areas and for embarking on their electrification.
