The Lagos State Police Command said it has uncovered plots by some groups to destabilise the state over the scarcity of both the old and the new naira notes to cause confusion in the state.

The command’s spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, who disclosed this on his verified Twitter handle, said the group had perfected plans to unleash violence in some parts of the state.

He tweeted: “The command hereby warns these groups to shelve their planned violence or have the full weight of the law to contend with.
