Gunmen have shot dead the Chief Imam of Nomadic Central Mosque at Rugan Ardo, Isyaka Adamu and a son of a Fulani chief and abducted 14 others in Kagarko LGA of Kaduna State.

A resident, Shehu Ibrahim, who confirmed the killings and abduction through telephone to our reporter on Tuesday, said the bandits invaded Janjala community and whisked away eight people before proceeding to Rugan Ardo  a few kilometres away and abducting six people after killing one of the sons of the Ardo, Alhaji Husaini Ardo.

He noted that eight among 11 people that were abducted in December, 2022, in Janjala were still in captivity as three of them were freed last week.

He added that, “Up till this moment no security agent has visited the village despite that the police were alerted when the attack was going on.”

City & Crime recalls that bandits on January 16, 2023, rejected a N5.3m ransom in old notes and demanded foodstuff before three among the 11 abducted victims of Janjala were set free.

There was no response from the Kaduna State Police Command on the latest incident at the time of filing this report.
