Kano State Police Command has arrested one Nura Auwal, 22, and Abubakar Lawal, 22, for kidnapping and rescued two victims at Bachirawa and Rijiyar Lemo areas of Ungoggo Local Government Area of the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, told newsmen that one Isyaku Salisu and Auwal Sale, residents of Bachirawa Quarters, reported that their children, Umar Isyaku, 3; and Aliyu Auwal, 4, respectively, were kidnapped.

He said handwritten letters with mobile phone numbers and bank account details were sent to them for communication and payment of ransom while N20million was demanded but later settled at N2million.
Kiyawa added that upon preliminary investigation, the suspects confessed to having conspired and kidnapped the two children and sent letters to their parents with phone numbers and bank account details requesting a ransom
