Rap artiste Eva Alordiah shares 17 lessons at 34

“Write these on your heart, save them to read again.” These were the starting words of Eva Alordiah, a Nigerian rap artiste, this week as she clocked 34.

In an email note, the artiste said: “They say – go to school, get good grades, so you can get a good job and maybe your life will work out.

“But NOTHING I learnt in school prepared me for the harsh reality of Life.”

“If you must master anything, master yourself. To know many things yet not know yourself is to know nothing. Stop trying to find your passion, you already have it – and stop being idle, complaining, over thinking, and start doing the things you already know how to do well,” she urged in two lessons.

Her third lesson is that life is just a blink people experience over the course of years whereby one can be here, and then one is not there. “So, use your time well.

“Don’t get tuition and forget to use your intuition. The answers you want are already within you – question everything, ponder the answers and never take things as they appear to be,” Eva said.

The singer also spoke about self-development. “Everything you want in life is on the other side of growth. You must develop your: Mind – read, then write; Spirit – align, then serve; Body – eat right, then train and then commit to only doing work you’re proud of,” she advised.
