A housewife, Sadiya Salihu, approached an area court in Gwagwalada Area Council seeking the dissolution of her marriage with Muhammed Mundi for lack of love and care.
Sadiya told the court that, “This marriage was contracted in Suleja on December 17, 2022. But just three days after the wedding, I noticed some changes in my husband’s character towards me.
“On January 7, 2023, he told me that I should get my things ready because he was returning me to my sister’s place in Gwagwalada.
“I called my people; when they came I followed them back to Gwagwalada. When I was in my parents’ house he called and ordered me to move my things out.” She, therefore, prayed the court to dissolve the marriage on the grounds of lack of love and care.

The defendant, Mundi, told the court that his wife denied him sex.
The Judge, Malam Abdullahi Abdulkarim, advised the couple to explore a means of settlement and adjourned to February 14. (NAN)
