Jos records first rainfall in 2017

The Plateau state’s capital Jos city has recorded its first rain in 2017.

The light rain, which started at about 3 p.m., only lasted for about 15 minutes.

The rain fell at University of Jos Permanent side, Unguwar Rimi, Bauchi Road, Ring Road, Race Course and other parts of the city.

A resident of Race Course, Zaharaddeen Idris, said the early rain was a welcome development considering the city’s hot climate for almost a week.
