Ikeja Electric has given reason for the poor electricity supply being experienced in parts of its network in Lagos.

Daily Trust reports that many parts of Lagos under Ikeja Electric network have been experiencing darkness since last week.

However, the distribution company attributed the challenge to low supply from the grid which has now resulted in load shedding.

In a statement, it said the firm is engaging stakeholders in the electricity value chain to resolve the issue.

The notice sent to customers read: “We apologize for the current poor power supply you have been experiencing in certain parts of our network lately. This is due to the inadequate allocation received, hence the load shedding.

“We regret the inconvenience this has caused and wish to assure that we are engaging the responsible stake holders in the electricity value chain to improve the situation.”
