“The suspected causes of the crash were road obstruction on the part of the truck and excessive speed on the Toyota bus which led to loss of control and ran into the truck at the rear,” she explained.

According to her, the injured victims were taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere, Ogun State, for medical attention while the corpses were deposited at Ipara morgue.

She quoted the Sector Commander, Ahmed Umar to have expressed sadness over the incident, saying motorists have failed to obey “simple traffic rules.”

“He also emphasizes on poor visibility due to harmattan haze and that motorists should put on the head lamp when the weather is poor. He cautions motorists especially the truck drivers for the noon display of caution signs whenever there is breakdown on the road,” Okpe said.

The FRSC Spokesman also quoted Umar to have commiserated with the family of the crash victims and asked them to contact FRSC ogunmakin for more information about the crash.
