NERDC to standardize learning resources

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC), Professor Ismail Junaidu, has said the council is working to deploy an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solution to handle data for enhanced book assessment.

Junaidu who stated this during a workshop on the development of software to ease book Assessment in Nasarawa State recently said this is in response to the challenges of data management, arising from huge storage, recording, sorting and classification of instructional materials.

Junaidu in a statement by NERDC Director, Book Development Centre (BDC), Dr Eleri Nnanna Otu Eleri, said the council in the recent past had committed a lot of resources towards the upgrading of assessment instruments and processes.

The statement explained that the duty of executing the mandate in the council rests with the BDC under Otu as the centre director.
