NCC lunches E-Health Solution at ATBU

Nigerian Communication Commission has launched the E-Health Solution at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBU-TH) in Bauchi to improve the lives of patients and facilitate appointments and payments to reduce queues in hospitals

Speaking during the lunch yesterday at a hospital in Bauchi, Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of NCC, Professor Umar Garba Danbatta, said the prime e-health hub is one of the recipients of NCC grant aimed at facilitating funding for the Innovation Startup Ecosystem, adding that the grant was provided by the commission to deploy Smart Clinic solutions to facilitate appointments and payments to reduce queues in hospitals.

Earlier in his remark, the Chief Medical Director, Dr Jibrin Bara, said e-health encompasses more than a mere technological development. “E-health is an emerging field in the intersection of medical informatics, public health and business. Referring to health care services, information delivered through the internet and related technologies are aimed at improving healthcare delivery and improving the overall health status of the population.
