A new Nigeria possible under me – Kwankwaso

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso, has inaugurated his campaign council, which he is chairing himself.

Inaugurating the 1,053-member presidential campaign council in Abuja, on Monday, Kwankwaso said a new Nigeria is possible under his presidency.

“The number and calibre of personalities in this hall with whom we will collectively be on this all-important journey are both impressive and inspiring. And the fact that all of you braved all sorts of inconveniences and risks associated with travelling in today’s Nigeria to attend this inauguration has strengthened my conviction that a new and better Nigeria is indeed possible,” he said.

According to him, the emergence of a new Nigeria under him would mean, “a Nigeria where justice and fairness are assured; a Nigeria where safety and security are guaranteed; a Nigeria where peace and prosperity are ensured; a Nigeria where equity and opportunities are available and accessible to all citizens; a Nigeria where quality education and modern healthcare services are accessible and guaranteed to all; and a Nigeria where governance is about the yearnings and the aspirations of all the citizens.

“That is the new and better Nigeria that we at the NNPP are working round the clock to kick-start from May 29, 2023, by the special grace of God.”

Kwankwaso, who said he would commence his zonal rallies in Bauchi on January 12 for North East, said the PCC is a team of dedicated, patriotic, hard-working, committed, experienced, God-fearing and empathetic Nigerians that would drive the RMK 2023 presidential campaign to a momentous success in the 2023 general elections.

The national chairman of the NNPP, Prof. Rufai Alkali, in his remarks, said the inauguration is a milestone in the history of the party.

Meanwhile, Bishop Isaac Idahosa, the vice presidential candidate of NNPP, has launched the campaign council fundraising portal, donation.rmkidahosa.com.

He urged supporters of the party to donate to their campaign, saying, “When you have interest in something, you invest in it.”

He, however, said the PCC was not playing money politics but needed funds for logistics. He was optimistic that they would be inaugurated as president and VP on May 29.
