Kwankwaso meets Aregbesola over Ile-Ife clash

Former governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, visited Osun State yesterday and had a closed door meeting with Governor Rauf Aregbesola at the governor’s office in Osogbo between 9:18 pm and 10:16pm.

Daily Trust correspondent learnt that Kwankwaso’s visit was in connection with the communal clash between the Hausa and Yoruba people at Sabo in Ile-Ife, last week.

Both Senator Kwankwaso and Governor Aregbesola didn’t speak with journalists after the meeting.   

Meanwhile, a delegation from Niger Republic, led by Alhaji Saley Idrissa, had earlier met Governor Aregbesola at the Government House in Osogbo, on behalf of the Niger Republic Ambassador to Nigeria, Mansour Hajj Daddo over the Ile-Ife communal clash.
