Narrating the incident to Freedom Radio in Kano, the woman said she boarded the tricycle from Kurna area of Dala LGA to her parent’s house in Kawo area of the state metropolis but didn’t know what happened from then.

“I entered a tricycle from Kurna, I met another woman inside. But I suspect the tricycle rider spread a powder on me, because from there I didn’t know what happened.

She added that they tied her hands with a rope and blindfolded her.

“They took me to their boss, who was holding a long knife. When he saw me, he started shouting at them why they brought me to him while they knew that I am not the type of person they were looking for.

“From there, he commanded them to take me out and release me. That was how I escaped. They didn’t allow me to see the place. I just woke up and saw myself in the hospital,” she said.

Commenting on the incident, a psychologist from Bayero University Kano, Professor Sani Lawan Malunfashi, said people should be careful with their movement as this is the political season in which some people are scouting for human parts for rituals.

“People should embark on intense prayers and also watch their movements. Anybody that escapes from these kinds of places should go and see psychiatric doctors to get medications as they have seen traumatic situations that may affect their brains,” he said.
