Buhari mourns longest serving Warri chief, Rone, condoles Na’Abba

President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with the Olu of Warri, all chiefs of the kingdom, family and friends of the Rone family, over the passage of Chief S.S Rone.

Late Rone, Ogienoyibo, was the Obazuaye of Warri and longest serving chief.

In a condolence message by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, on Tuesday in Abuja, the president appreciated the grace of God on the departed, which saw him serve four monarchs as a high-ranking chief.

The president said Rone who died Monday at 86 helped to maintain peace, amity and development in Warri and its environs.

He commended the life of service lived by the chief to the younger generation and urged his family and children to ensure that his good works were preserved and his memories evergreen.

Also, the president has condoled a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Umar Na’Abba, who lost his mother, Hajiya Rabi Umar Na’Abba.

The president, in a condolence message, described the death of a mother as a painful experience and prayed to Allah to console the former speaker and the larger Na’Abba family.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, in a statement issued on Tuesday, said the deceased was a sibling of the late Bashir Usman Tofa whom he described as a political associate of the president.
