Jos institute gets approval to train medical laboratory scientists

The Federal School of Medical Laboratory Technology (Science) FSMLST Jos, has been permitted to host the Fellowship Training of West African Postgraduate College of Medical Laboratory Science. 

 Our correspondent reports that the approval of the training was sequel to a report of the accreditation visitation team of the college to FSMLST on October 20, 2022.

He said the school will host Fellowship Training in Bacteriology, Blood Transfusion Science, Clinical Chemistry, Haematology, Molecular Diagnostic & Translational Science, Parasitology & Entomology and Virology.

 The approval letter for the training was presented to journalists in Jos, the state capital.

 In his remark, the Provost of FSMLST Jos, Dr Sunday Obong Etukudoh, said the approval to execute the programme was a great development for the general public.

He appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari for the attention given to the health sector towards ensuring a robust health system.
