The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Katari divisional headquarters in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State has been queried after the Daily Trust report of Friday on the abduction of 37 villagers by bandits who raided three communities in the area.
A reliable source at Katari police division, who preferred anonymity, told our reporter on Sunday, that the state commissioner of police called the DPO upon reading the kidnap story in the newspaper.
The source said the DPO was queried verbally over the telephone for not writing a report on the kidnapping of the 37 villagers in the three communities — Janjala, Azara and Kadara.
“Because from the conversations, it was the state commissioner of police that called the DPO to query him for not making any formal report about the kidnapping incident at Azara, Janjala and Kadara communities,” he said.
