The presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has said he will not allow police brutality and strike actions by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) if given the mandate.
Obi spoke during his presidential campaign rally at UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar, the Cross River State capital, yesterday.
He also said his administration would check the rising insecurity in the country, adding that he would secure, unite Nigeria and allow the rule of law to prevail.
“My government will never tolerate police brutality. ASUU will never go on strike, mark my words. We will ensure that we become a productive economy as against a consumption economy.

“We will make tourism work again in Cross River State, which is the tourism capital of Nigeria.
“Above all, we will ensure the Calabar Port is made to become vibrant as a way of diverting economic traffic to the state,” Obi said.
