The management of Kano Pillars football club has said there will be no Christmas and New Year holidays for players and officials of the club.
This was made known on Monday by the Acting Chairman of the club, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima, during an interactive session with the players and their officials at the Sani Abacha stadium.
He said Pillars were behind schedule in their preparations for the forthcoming Nigeria National League (NNL) season so it has become necessary for the players to make the sacrifice.
He, therefore, urged Christians in the club to take the decision in good faith and remain focused on the task before them.

Galadima, however, wished the players and officials happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
He also charged the Technical Crew led by Coach Evans Ogenyi to recruit only quality players who would return Pillars to the Nigerian topflight.
The Chairman who said he was not going to interfere in the recruitment exercise tasked the coaches to be fair and honest in their screening of players.
Responding, Technical Adviser, Ogenyi thanked the Chairman for the visit and pledged to justify the confidence repose in them.
The technical crew is expected to submit the final list of players at the end of the month for registration for the 2022/2023 NNL season.
