FEMA reads riot act to filling stations

The FCT Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has vowed to permanently shut down any filling station which flouts the extant regulations on product discharge.

The Director General of FEMA, Alhaji Abbas Idriss, issued the warning while reacting to a fire outbreak at the Conoil Filling Station in Garki, Area 10, which occurred on Saturday.

It was learnt that the filling station was the third to be gutted by fire within the last two weeks.  (NAN)
