President Muhammadu Buhari will launch the farm equipment procured by the National Agricultural Land Development Agency (NALDA) today in Abuja
The president had resuscitated the scrapped agency and supported it massively for the purpose of encouraging young Nigerians to embrace agriculture by tackling the issues of land preparation, land clearing, and land development.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja, the Executive Secretary, Mr Paul Ikonne, said, “Mr President will showcase some of the equipment that NALDA has procured and also the achievements,” adding that no president has brought awareness and support to the sector like the president did.

“You know we cannot go to the farms where we have established and carry them to the venue. But rather, they will be seen from the documents that will be presented, and these are not fictitious stories. They are farms that are located in villages where people live, so the names of those locations will be mentioned, meaning these things exist. The names of the places will be mentioned so that the public would get to know where they are and see for themselves and what Mr President has achieved in agriculture.
“Agriculture is a process and we have started this process and we’ve ignited a kind of zeal within the communities that have embraced us,” Mr Ikonne said.
