Daily Trust Newspapers has won an honorary award at the 2022 maiden Arewa 30 under 30 stars awards and conference held in Kano for its multi-platform and multimedia approach to journalism.
Zainab Bala of Trust TV also clinched the 2022 media personality of the year for her outstanding contribution and dedication to her media practice through digital storytelling to inspire and motivate at the award ceremony held in Kano at the weekend.
The convener of the award, Muhammad Dahiru Lawal said Daily Trust’s recognition came in view of the organisation’s unprecedented transformation from print to broadcast, which was unparalleled in the Nigerian media industry.
He said what informed the decision to convene the event was the need to celebrate and motivate outstanding individuals doing exceptionally well in their chosen walks of life.

The event themed ‘Convergence of Technology for Youth Enterprise’ was organised by PRNigeria, Daily Nigerian and Arewa Agenda as the largest gathering of northern impact makers, philanthropists and mentors.
